Differences and differences between Ductile Iron casting and Grey cast iron casting

2022-09-03

The graphite in the gray cast iron structure exists in the form of flakes, and the graphite in the ductile cast iron structure exists in a spherical shape.

The difference:

1. Look at the cutting surface Gray iron: gray, the gloss is very dark, the surface looks rough. The ductile iron: gray, the gloss is brighter than gray iron, the surface roughness is like gray iron.

2. The boring test gray iron: the boring resistance is small, the squeaking sound is [shua shua" when boring, the glue is very sticky, the dust is grayish black, there are a few silver and white spots, and the particle size is different, to small particles. Fine-based, grinding with fingers, it is easy to make the fingers black. Ductile iron: the resistance is slightly larger than the gray iron when boring, there is also a more obvious "shua shua" sound, very little sticky, gray ends Black, with fine spots and different particle sizes, but mainly with large particles. Using fingers to grind the ends, the fingers can be blackened, but the gray is lighter than gray.

3. Listen to the percussion Gray iron: the sound is low, the duration is very short. The ball iron: the sound is crisp, there is a residual sound, and the duration is shorte.
